Palasari Dam, a beautiful and quiet place near the West Bali National Park, where people of different religious backgrounds are getting along and live peacefully next to each other. This place is still quite unknown to tourists. When you go to this place, you’ll find the Maria Cave and the imposing Catholic Cathedral built in the Dutch colonial times.

The cathedral has an area of approximately 3 hectares. Located in the center of the village, this place is often used to held the village festivals. Inside the cathedral, there are stone sculptures and a tower with multiple staircase roofs. When you go inside, you’ll see a very impressive, huge wooden beams and a magnificent lighting. 

This cathedral is in the middle of Ekasari village that lies between the hills and rice fields. This village is definitely perfect for you who love to hike. If you’re tired after wandering around, you can sit and relax on the side of the reservoir. But if you still want to move your body, enjoy swimming in the fresh and cold water. Cooling yourself in the dam will make your vacation perfect! 

The Palasari Dam is surrounded by a tropical rainforest in the north and large rice fields in the south. So, this place is suitable for those who want a calm and peaceful days. This beautiful surroundings of the dam are also used by locals and tourists for cycling, jungle trekking, fishing, camping, hiking, and canoeing. Yup, canoeing! You can explore the tropical forest from the water! 

Not only as a recreational spot, the dam is also utilized for irrigation. It’s also served to control flooding in the area. The Palasari Dam really is a multi-function tourism spot!
