You certainly agree that Bali has so many beautiful beaches. That’s why many people come to this island because they have the freedom to choose a place to enjoy the sunrise and sunset. In fact, you will need a lot of time to be able to visit the beautiful places in Bali one by one. Some of you might want to enjoy sunrise more than sunset, and vice versa. But, if you prefer to see both in one place, you can do it on Lepang Beach.

Lepang Beach 

Lepang beach isn’t as popular as other beaches in Nusa Penida and Nusa Lembongan, but you shouldn't underestimate the beauty. This beach has black and soft sand that’s sparkling amazingly when it’s exposed to sunlight. Uniquely, the location of the beach is very close to the rice fields owned by the local residents. So besides being able to watch the blue ocean, your eyes will also be spoiled with a vast expanse of green rice fields.

The waves at Lepang Beach are quite large, so it’s suitable for surfing. But if you only want to swim, you can go on the edge of the beach. As we said above, Lepang Beach also offers the panoramic views of sunrise and sunset, which you will rarely see on other beaches in Bali. So don't be surprised. When the morning and afternoon comes, the place will begin to be flooded with visitors. 

Beside become a tourism spot, this beach is also a ‘farm’ for salt farmers in Klungkung. After playing at the beach, you can approach the salt farmers to see the process of making salt. If they aren’t too busy, try to interact with them to increase your knowledge about salt production.  

On this beach there are fishing boats neatly lined up on the beach. In the distance you will witness the splendor of Mount Agung. For photographers and selfie lovers, this scene should not be missed to be captured by a camera lens. This background is very suitable to produce interesting photos for your social media. 

Another interesting thing on this beach is the existence of bamboo-walled houses and thatched roofs surrounded by elongated wicker-shaped and supported by bamboo pillars. The function of the building itself is not clearly explained. However, this building is often used as a place for religious ceremonies. 

Because it is close to residential areas, so this beach has adequate facilities. Stalls around the coast are managed by local residents. They provide local drinks and snacks to be enjoyed by the visitors. There are also public bathrooms, dressing rooms, and surfing equipment rentals. 

Lepang Beach is located in Lepang Hamlet, Takmung Village, Banjarangkan District, Klungkung Regency. The distance from Denpasar is around 27 km. If you depart from the city of Semarapura, you have to go around 6 km. To get to this beach, you can go through the Ida Bagus Mantra By Pass Road.
