Capturing moments is the key to getting good photos. A beautiful photo will have no soul if the captured moment isn’t good enough. Even so, not every picture of a sunrise can be special because it doesn't 'tell a story' about an atmosphere.

In the morning, precisely when the sun starts to come up, the atmosphere feels more lonely and cold. Well, at the beginning of the day, usually people often start activities. As long as you are in East Bali, you can choose several locations below to capture the sunrise event.

1. Get up early

Besides being a place for sunrise photo hunting, Bukit Asah is also a place for camping. In capturing the beauty of the sun from the eastern horizon, prepare your shooting equipment. Don't forget to prepare the battery the night before.

The natural atmosphere in Bukit Asah is an event that needs to be immortalized. Bali Island has a sunrise time zone around 05.00 local times, so don't wake up late!

2. Setting up photographic equipment

Various scenes in photography can be realized with the availability of tools. Even the tools used do not have to be troublesome. So, prepare photographic equipment that will be used to capture the moment of the sunrise before leaving. In fact, when you want to capture natural phenomena, all you need is patience, calculations, and the appropriate equipment. If you use a digital camera, then check the battery and prepare some other equipment that might be needed such as a tripod, a spare lens and so on. Now, if you use an SLR camera, don't forget to bring a spare film.

The beach in Karangasem that is recommended for sunrise hunting is Amed Beach. This beach is located in Amed Village, Abang District, Karangasem Regency. Around Amed Beach, there is an inn if you plan to spend your nights on the east coast of Karangasem. There are also mini markets, ATMs, and diving equipment rentals. That means you can not only photograph the moment of sunrise on this beach but also can do other exciting activities.

3. Respect the local culture

The Balinese have a very high tradition of respect. If your destination for sunrise photo hunting is located in a sacred place, then maintaining attitude is a way of respecting the local culture. Like in Pura Lempuyang Luhur which is one of the holy places for the Balinese Hindu community. This holy place is located on a hill at the foot of Mount Agung. Located 35 kilometers to the east of Mount Agung makes this holy temple a place to see the phenomenon of sunrise.

To reach Lempuyang Luhur Temple does require energy and time. From the place of thinking, visitors must go uphill. Even so, the view that will be achieved will not make you feel disadvantaged.

Besides the three tips above, follow the local rules. Parts of the building in the shrine are not allowed to be photographed. Make sure that you don't break the rule. Plus, to get a satisfying photo, don't forget to adjust the terrain orientation or recognize the character of the location of the shot.
