The Best Place to be Explored in Klungkung for 6 Days
Klungkung is one of the regencies in Bali which has the most exotic beach attractions. The beaches are located on three different islands, namely Nusa Penida, Nusa Ceningan, and Nusa Lembongan. In this six-day vacation in Klungkung, you will visit Nusa Penida to witness the beauty of its beaches. 1. Goa Lawah Temple
Goa Lawah Temple is unique, because it is located inside Goa Lawah (Lawah Cave). Lawah Cave itself is inhabited by thousands of bats. So, if you visit Goa Lawah Temple, you will see bats that fly and hang on the ceiling of the cave. Goa Lawah Temple is located in Pesinggahan Village, Dawan District. This temple is 10 km to the east of the city of Semarapura and less than 50 km from the city of Denpasar.
2. Kamasan Tourism Village
Kamasan Tourism Village is only 4 km from the town of Semarapura. This village is famous for Balinese shadow puppets. In this village, you can visit the painting galleries in people's houses. 3. Nyoman Gunarsa Museum
Nyoman Gunarsa is a famous artist in Indonesia. The museum exhibits classical and contemporary works of Balinese art in the form of paintings, stone and wood carvings, masks and puppets created by Nyoman Gunarsa. This museum is located 4 km to the west of the city of Semarapura. The museum is open from 09:00 WITA until 16:00 WITA.

The Semarajaya Museum has a collection of ancient relics from the Klungkung Kings, ranging from Dewa Agung Jambe I to Dewa Agung Cokorda Gede Agung Semaraputra. In this museum, there is also an exhibition of songket cloth. There are also illustrations of moving images of Puputan in 1908 as well as photographs of the royal family.
2. Klungkung Palace
Klungkung Palace or better known as Puri Agung Semarapura, was once the residence of the Klungkung royal family. Most of the palace buildings were destroyed after being attacked by the Dutch in 1908. However, there are still several buildings that stand firm like the former court building and the Kerta Gosa pavilion. You can come here to see the silent witnesses of the history of Klungkung Regency through these buildings. Around the palace there are shops selling souvenirs. Klungkung Palace is located on Jalan Diponegoro, Semarapura, Kangin, Klungkung Regency.
3. Gosa paper
The Gili Kerta Gosa Park building is actually still part of the Klungkung Palace. Kerta Gosa has two main buildings. First, Bale Kerta Gosa, a large building with a sketched ceiling and a Bale Kambang in the middle of a large moat. Built in a unique Balinese architectural style, you must visit this building to take pictures. Near the Kerta Gosa parking area, there is an art market and gift shop selling clothes, gold and silver jewelry, puppet paintings, and woven goods. Kerta Gosa is on Jl. Kenanga No.11, Semarapura Kelod. Kerta Gosa is 45 km away from Ngurah Rai airport and 34 km from downtown Denpasar.
1. Angel’s Bilabong
Angel's Billabong, located on Nusa Penida, is a beautiful alcove with turquoise sea water. Because it is clear turquoise, you can see the texture of the coral under the sea. You can swim freely to feel how extraordinary this beach is. But you have to take steep roads and sharp rocks first to get to Angel's Billabong. Since it’s still very natural, not many facilities are available on this beach. You are advised to bring your own food supplies because there are no food stalls around the Angel's Billabong area.
2. Broken Beach
This beach is also called Uug Beach because it has a cliff as high as 50-200 meters with a hole in the middle. So that it is shaped like a cave or tunnel that is flowed by sea water and makes it trapped in the middle. The trapped sea water in the middle of the cliff looks like a giant pool! Pasih Uug Bali Beach (Broken Beach) is located in Banjar Sumpang, Bunga Mekar Village, Nusa Penida District.
1. Bukit Teletubbies
One of the current attractions in Nusa Penida is Bukit Teletubbies. The hill formed by limestone covered with thin soil overgrown with green grass is the right place for hiking. Don’t forget to take some pictures! The background of the green hill scenery will enhance your photo results. The best time to visit is in the morning, because at noon, the air temperature in Nusa Penida tends to be hot.
2. Tembeling Pond
Tembeling Pond is a natural pool located in Batumadeg, Nusa Penida. You can swim or just dip your feet in the pool to feel the fresh water in this pool. To get to Tembeling Pond, you have to drive 10 minutes and it is recommended to rent a motorcycle taxi. Because, the route taken is quite extreme.

Atuh Beach is a type of beach that will make you fall in love at first sight. This beach is perfect for relaxing, but quite dangerous for swimming because the waves are high. The trip down from the hill to the beach takes about 10 minutes with fairly steep terrain conditions. You must be extra careful to pass this path before witnessing the beautiful panorama.
2. Goa Giri Putri Temple
After exploring Atuh Beach, it’s time to visit the beautiful temple in Nusa Penida. It's called Goa Giri Putri Temple, located in a cave with a narrow entrance made of stone. You even have to bend down to enter it. You can find the statue of Goddess Guan Yin in it. However, to be able to enter the temple, you have to use cloth and a scarf. Also, women on their period are forbidden to enter.

Pasih Andus is a new beach in Nusa Penida. This beach has big waves that often hit hard cliffs so that it produces splashes of water resembling clouds of smoke. Because the waves of the beach are quite large, so it is not recommended to swim there. Don't forget to bring a camera to capture the moment to see the water blast. The road to the beach is also quite challenging. So you should be careful!
