This traditional cuisine comes from Penglatan Village, Buleleng Regency. Initially, Tipat Blayag Raja was the main dish to entertain guests who visit the village in ancient times. Today, traditional Balinese food is often hunted by tourists, especially for those who are traditional food seekers.

This dish ingredients consist of ketupat or tipat in Balinese, vegetables, grated coconut, soybeans, shredded chicken, fried chicken feet, chili sauce, and chicken skin crackers. This delicious Balinese typical food is easily found in North Bali, especially Buleleng Regency. 

In a ceremony or a big event in Buleleng, Tipat Blayag Raja will always be a mainstay menu. Tipat Blayag has a quite different taste, depending on the additives included in it. Each area has their own special recipes. However usually, the taste of Blatag's Tipat sauce is generally the same because the main ingredients are similar. 

Not only local tourists, but foreign tourists are also fans of this cuisine. No wonder that they are coming for Tipat Blayag Raja for more and more again. Generally, the type of rice used to make ketupat is white rice. But, some areas in Bali make Tipat Blayag from black rice. One of them is in Bangli and Denpasar areas. This kind of rice is considered more nutritious because it contains smaller amounts of sugar, more vitamin E, and antioxidants compared to white rice.
