Banyumala Waterfall, A ‘Private’ Open Space For You To Relax
Banyumala Waterfall, A ‘Private’ Open Space For You To Relax.
Another way to spend your days in Bali: visiting Banyumala Waterfall! It’s a huge and beautiful waterfall that still very few people seem to visit. When you’re in there, you’ll feel like you have this amazing place all to yourself. You will be blown away by seeing Banyumala Waterfall from afar. Let alone when you’re close and start to explore. Every corner of this place has a beautiful spot. You can just sit and relax, or swim underneath the sun.
If you bring your own vehicle, the waterfall is a bit far from the car park which takes about 15-minute walk. You have to pass some stairs. It’s easy when it’s sunny, but quite slippery in the rain. So, it’d be better if you wear hiking shoes. But the reward for your effort is really worth it! You’ll be welcomed by the amazing view of a huge waterfall surrounded by green scenery. There’s also a bamboo bridge in front of the waterfall which can make you feel like being somewhere deep in the jungle!
If you want to go there, you have to pay IDR 20,000 for the entrance fee, and IDR 2,000 for parking fee if you bring one. The entrance fee is a small donation to the local people, who will happily welcome and let you stay as long as you want at Banyumala Waterfall. The best time to visit the waterfall is in the early morning. You can have the whole place to yourself because there’s almost no visitors at that time. In addition, you can breathe in the fresh of morning air which can make your body and mind relax.
Banyumala Waterfall is located in North Bali. It’s about 45-minute drive from Munduk Village, by taking the road Jalan Raya Wanagiri alongside Lake Buyan. As you drive, you’ll see a large sign showing the way to the waterfall parking area. But remember, the road down to the parking area is in a bad condition. So, be sure to take extra care when you’re driving so your car won’t be damaged. However as mentioned above, the reward for your effort will be paid off by the amazing nature of Banyumala Waterfall Bali!
