In addition to the beach, Bali is also famous for the places of worship of the Hindu community, namely the temple. Yes, there are many temples in Bali that are not only places of worship, but also as tourist attractions. Each temple has its own uniqueness. One of the unique temples there is Pura Beji Sangsit.

Beji Sangsit Temple

Of the many temples that can be found in Bali, the Beji Sangsit temple is one of the ancient temples with unique classic architectural designs. Unfortunately, there is no historical record of the existence of this temple. The main source of the temple history is only obtained from stories passed down through ancestors.

Pura Beji Sangsit was built to worship Dewi Sri, or the Goddess of Fertility in the belief of Hindus. For this reason, the people who live around the temple are used to holding ceremonies to seek welfare. They believe, by making worship at the temple, the yield of rice fields will be more abundant.

Aside from being a place of worship, this temple is also famous for its unique architecture. The design of the building looks very symmetrical when viewed from a certain angle. This symmetrical part will be very beautiful and interesting for you to capture in a photo. Not only the design, but there is one more thing that becomes the attraction of the Beji Sangsit Temple, namely the existence of two human statues that are said to be Dutch citizens. The two statues are seen holding a fiddle and guitar.

After knowing some of the uniqueness of Pura Beji Sangsit, surely you will become more interested in vacationing there! You can directly come to Sangsing Village, Sawan District, Buleleng. To get there, you have to travel approximately 8 km from downtown Singaraja. Going there on weekdays or weekends is not a problem. The important thing is that you have to dress modestly and don't say rude words while you are there. So, people who are worshiping will not be disturbed by your presence.
