The Enchanting Pasih Uug Beach.

The charm of nature in Bali will never end. The island creates a feeling of calm for its visitors, which makes them always want to come back. Once you step your feet on the island, you don’t want to leave. One of the mesmerizing places is Pasih Uug, The imperfect form of cliff becomes the perfect place to be visited when you’re in Nusa Penida.

In Balinese, Pasih Uug means a damaged beach. Uniquely, the ‘damage’ is actually an attraction for tourists. Its shape like a broken cliff, therefore, foreign tourists often mention this place as ‘Broken Beach’. Pasih Uug is located right on the seafront, in the form of a cliff with a large inlet in the middle. Due to natural processes, this overdraft finally contains the sea entering from a cliff gap. In the beginning, the gap in the cliff was the entrance to the cave. But, because the bottom of the cave was destroyed, the seawater is leaking. Pasih Uug looks like a natural gate under a cliff and managed to become a natural tourist with stunning views.

Pasih Uug Beach has calm waves. This is due to a 50 to 200-meter high cliff gap blocking large waves from approaching the beach. So, tourists can swim safely. Even though it’s considered a safe place to swim, be careful. Sometimes, the tidal waves can be quite high. Even though you can only look at the sea from the beach, you can be satisfied smiling to enjoy its beauty.

At first glance, the Pasih Uug cliff is similar to the Uluwatu cliff. If you are lucky, you can be greeted by a group of dolphins or manta rays. To enjoy the beauty of Pasih Uug, you only need to pay an entrance ticket of IDR 5,000,00 per person.

Pasih Uug is located in Banjar Tumpang, Bunga Mekar Village, Nusa Penida District, Klungkung Regency, Bali. To get there, you can go through two alternative trips. First, you can depart from Sanur Beach by boat in about 30 to 45 minutes. Second, you can cross from Padang Bai Harbor by ferry.

Since there’s no public transportation available on Nusa Penida, you should rent a vehicle. Plus, due to the difficult terrain, it is advisable to rent a motorbike to be more flexible in visiting various types of tourist attractions. In addition, there is no money changer around Nusa Penida. Therefore, prepare some cash before going to Nusa Penida Island.

The facilities at Pasih Uug are inadequate, but you can find some stalls that are selling coconut water and various fresh drinks. Around this beach, there are also villas and resorts, so you don’t need to worry about finding a place to sleep.
