Black Sandy Beach That Stores Memories, Kusamba Klungkung Beach.

Beach is the most beautiful place to witness the wonderful sunrise while looking at the sand rippled, and the waves that come and go. Beach is a limit line between land and water. The majority of residents of Kusamba Village work as fishermen and salt farmers. This beach also holds memories. But the memories written on Kusamba Beach aren’t just a fairy tale. In ancient times, Kusamba was an important place for the Klungkung Kingdom. The kingdom, led by Ida I Dewa Agung Putra Kusamba, had repulsed colonialism. These events become the background of Kusamba Beach which makes this beach worth visiting. The stored stories can be felt again through the aroma of salt that is blowing to the sand, as well as the melodious sound of the waves.

Kusamba Beach is located not far from Goa Lawa Beach. There is also the tomb of Habib Ali Bin Abubakar Bin Umar Bin Abubakar Al Khamid. He was an important figure in the spread of Islam in Bali.

After pulling over, fishing boats will collect their catch. You can also find a ship that is normally used by 5 crew members to transport up to 1-ton goods. Usually, the ship will sail to Nusa Penida every two days. If you want to enjoy fresh fish caught by the fishermen, you can come from 10:00 to 16:00 to buy it directly. You can also stop for a moment at food stalls around the beach.

Kusamba Beach, known as Segara Beach, is also often a place of rituals for Balinese Hindus. Activities that are routinely carried out is Nganyut at the Ngaben Ceremony. So, a lot of lessons and stories that you will get if you visit the beach.
