Mangrove Forest

The best way to enjoy the Nusa Lembongan Mangrove Forest is to circle the whole area by boat. You can rent a boat at an affordable price! Along the way, you can see sturdy mangrove roots with a height of up to six meters. Occasionally, you will also see Bali Starlings perched on mangrove branches, since this forest is their habitat.

The first journey starts from the outermost sea then slowly begins to explore the deepest areas of the mangrove forest. Getting deeper, the river's path is getting narrower. If you pay attention, the river water looks darker because the dense mangrove roots are growing, which make the atmosphere feels a little mystical.  

There are 11 types of mangrove plants that live here. Starting from akar napas to akar tunjang. There some types including Avicennia Lanata (fires), Xylocarpus Granatum (banang), Rhizophora Apiculata (white mangrove), Bruguiera Gymnorrhiza (lindur / bako), and Sonneratia Alba (prapat). The scenery that was formed was also amazing, like a natural painting. 

Once satisfied to explore the area in the mangrove forest which is a little dark and narrow, the boat will return along the waters of the edge of the bright mangrove forest. Here, you will see a beautiful view. The green leaves with reflected sunlight add nicely to the panorama. Quite often, this pathway became a favorite photo spot for visitors.
