Melanting Waterfall 

Melanting Waterfall is one of the tourist attractions in Buleleng Regency. This waterfall is located in Munduk Village, Banjar District, Buleleng Regency. If you drive from Singaraja downtown, it will take around one hour. While departing from Lovina Beach, you will spend between 40 to 45 minutes. The distance is a bit far, because the location of this waterfall is above the plateau.

After arriving at Munduk Village, you will find a direction sign towards Melanting Waterfall. To get to the location of the waterfall, you need to walk about 400 meters through the path. The condition of the trail has been cemented well, making it easier for you to get to the waterfall. If you are worried about passing a slippery road, you can hold on to the iron handle located on the left and right side of the stairs. So your trip will be safer. 

Certainly, your trip to the waterfall won't feel boring, because the location of this waterfall is in the midst of coffee and clove plantations. So when you walk, you can see a variety of coffee and clove plants while inhaling the fragrant aroma of these herbs. Not only inhaling the scent of coffee or cloves, you will also hear the chirping of birds that are singing melodiously and the sound of splashing of water that pierces the rocks below. 

The height of the Melanting Waterfall is only about 20 meters. However, the falling water condition is quite heavy. This waterfall is flanked by high cliffs overgrown with various kinds of dense green vines. These vines make the atmosphere around the waterfall even more beautiful. Of course you will feel comfortable and calm because it is far from the bustle of the bustling atmosphere of the city. 

You can try swimming in a pool located just below the waterfall. The depth of this water pool is still included in the safe category for beginner swimmers. So there's no need to worry. If you don't want to swim, you can play water on the edge while washing your face or feet. Another way to enjoy this waterfall is to take a photo. There are many interesting photo spots that you can make background! So, taking pictures at a waterfall in the middle of a grove of forests will surely steal the attention of your friends on social media. 

After tired of playing in the waterfall, it's time to go back to the inn. You better go home before it gets dark. There are not yet adequate lighting facilities in the area around the waterfall.
