Exploring Bunutin Waterfall
One of the still beautiful and untouched waterfalls in Bangli is Bunutin Waterfall. This waterfall is lesser-explored by the visitors because it is not widely known. There is not even a travel agent that offers trips to this location because of the unfamiliar location.
The height of the Bunutin waterfall reaches 27 meters with a very heavy flow of water. Name of Waterfall Bunutin is taken from the name of a local village, namely the village of Bunutin. The fall is located in Kintamani sub-district, Bangli district. The village itself is located at an altitude of 900 - 960 metres above sea level, exactly at the bottom of the valley so that it has cool air.
This waterfall is about 18 km from Kintamani. While the travel distance from Denpasar is around 52 km through the Payangan line. After arriving at Payangan, turn left towards the Hanging Garden Hotel or Nandini Hotel. Then find your way to the village of Langgahan, from here it is still about 20 km from the waterfall. After going through the village of Langgahan, follow the road to Bunutin Village and there will be a street sign on the left side which is the main guide to the waterfall. If you are confused, ask the local people to get clearer directions. The residents of Bunutin Village are very kind and friendly to visitors, they will gladly help you to show the way to the location of the waterfall.
Visitors must take a walk about 15 minutes from the parking lot to get to the waterfall. During the trip, visitors will find footpaths passing through the grounds and plantations of local residents. The path is quite steep and slippery. So, please be careful when stepping in because there are no safeguards on the sloping side of the path. Visitors will descend the very steep land and can only hold on to the branches of trees that grow around it. Beside that, the path is still covered by lush plants.
The discharge of Bunutin Waterfall is quite large even the sound of the water can be heard clearly before arriving at the location. After arriving, all tired and sweat during the trip will be paid by the freshness of the splash of the waterfall. You can swim in a shallow pool just below the waterfall. The discharge of fast flowing water can be a body freshener. Moreover, the environment around the waterfall is still very green and natural. The difficult access to reach the fall can be the reason why only small number of visitors come to enjoy Bunutin Waterfall.
