Dance is a variety of beautified daily movements. And, Balinese people are close to beautiful movements in every process of their lives. As tourists, we should join in admiring the process of creating an art performance. How about you? Yes, this time Kecak Rina is a dance that will be reviewed. Starting from the process of creating motion, to a list of places that you can go to enjoy the performance. Interested in photographing every composition of motion and art in Bali?

Two places that you can visit to enjoy the Rina Kecak Dance are at the Agung Rai Museum of Art and in Teges Kanginan Village, Ubud. This dance starts from a Kecak dancer, I Ketut Rina. In her artistic process, she has explored the Kecak Dance since she was little. According to him, the Kecak Dance should not only be played and held at the temple to accompany Sang Hyang Dance. The process of exploring the meaning and appreciation has been passed by her until she finally met the choreographer named Sardono W. Kusumo. The two figures of the dance had a dialogue and assured each other that the inspiration in dance moves could be held indefinitely. Including involving freedom of expression in establishing a dance.

Kecak, in Balinese belief, is a dance that has a function to ward off evil spirits. In general, this dance is played by adult men. Currently, the performance of the Rina Kecak Dance held in Teges Kanginan Village, Ubud, is also played by children. Even every performance can involve three generations: children, fathers, and grandfathers. Unique, right? The function of Rina's Kecak Dance has also been adjusted. This dance serves for entertainment, enjoying the beauty and freedom of expression.

Because freedom of expression is the basis of dance, gestures and vowels always change in each performance. This adapts to the expressions and stories brought by the dancers. In fact, this dance is taken from everyday experiences that are not far from the lives of Balinese people, especially the village where the dance was held. For example, the activity of going to the fields and children playing in the sea can be told in Rina's Kecak Dance. Until now, this contemporary dance is quite inspiring.
