Relaxing in the Pecangakan Park
Pecangakan Park is a city park located around the office area. Precisely located at Jln. Jendral Sudirman, Negara District, Jembrana Regency. This park has a distinctive statue of the figure of Lord Ruci (the incarnation of Bima, a wayang (puppet) figure who managed to get the holy water in the story of the Mahabharata) which stands firmly and is surrounded by a fountain with the addition of colorful flashing lights. At certain times, there’s an attraction of "dancing fountain" that you can watch. It definitely makes the atmosphere more interesting. This attraction has become the most eagerly awaited entertainment by visitors of Taman Pecangakan.
Besides the waterfall and Dewa Ruci Statue, there are also several other statues. Starting from the Drupadi Statue, Sengkuni, Arjuna, and many more. Not far from the location of the statues, there is also an inscription that is believed to be a relic of the Japanese occupation.
The calm atmosphere of the garden combined with a charming fountain pool, as well as a variety of sculptures that become a decoration, will make you feel comfortable. Especially at night. But you can also come in the morning to enjoy the fresh air. Several kinds of trees such as oil palms, frangipani trees, etc, are ready to accompany you.
This city park will be visited by locals in the afternoon. Some of them are walking around the park while looking for a spot to take pictures. You can even bring a mat and have a simple yet fun picnic time! No need to bring snacks, because some local people are happy to serve you some. You can also see people do other fun activities like yoga, jogging, and gym. Although there are no playing facilities for children, you can see them running around happily in the middle of the park that is planted with synthetic grass. This is the safest part for children to play. However, if you bring a child, don't forget to keep an eye on them.
To support the tourism sector, the local government also provides a large parking area. If you want to stay overnight, you can also find some hotels around the park with fairly complete facilities. In other words, Taman Pecangakan is one of the best entertainment places that you can go to, if you want to have some light and fun activities during your holiday.
