The Tibumana Falls

You can visit Tibumana Waterfall, located in Banjar Bangun Lemah Kawan, Apuan Village, Susut District. If driving from Ubud, the distance is about 35 km and takes 35 minutes. However, departing from Kuta can take 2 hours and 1 hour from Denpasar with normal traffic conditions. When you arrive at Apuan Village, stop at the Apuan Village Temple and you can park your vehicle there. To get to the natural and refreshing Tibumana Waterfall, you can pass the road next to the temple.

You have to walk about 15 minutes to get to the waterfall. In addition, the terrain you’ll pass through is winding roads and climb natural steps. Many ferns and mosses around the road, so, be careful of slippery roads. We recommend that you wear comfortable footwear so you. Although the path along the way to the waterfall has been neatly cemented, you can still find natural wood for handles on the left and right side of the stairs. If you have crossed two bridges and one turn to the left, that means the Tibumana waterfall is near.

After arriving at Tibumana Waterfall, you can immediately feel the freshness of the water discharge that falls from a height of 20 meters. During the rainy season, there are two streams of the Tibumana waterfall. But in the dry season, only one flowing water. This is because the river above the water flow shrinks. There is a turquoise pool just below the flow of the waterfall, filled with fresh water to wash your body. However, you are only allowed to shower and swim by the pool. Because the locals believe that the middle part of the pool is the Niskala bath. Then, visitors are asked to respect this trust. Plus, be careful of the cliffs around the falls that are prone to landslides.

Many tourists come to visit to enjoy the beautiful panorama around the waterfall. They did not hesitate to bring a mat and spread it on the edge of the pool. The land at the edge of the waterfall has the same contours as the beach sand. So it is very suitable as a place to relax after bathing or soaking in a waterfall. Near the waterfall, there is also a natural stone that is quite large. You can stand on the rock to take pictures. You can create your style as unique as possible.

According to the local information, behind the Tibumana Waterfall, there is a cave which is a shortcut to the Cave of King Besakih. But until now there are no visitors who dare to enter the cave. Because the conditions in the cave are too narrow and pitch black. When visiting, don't forget to bring lunch because there are no food stalls around the waterfall.
