Bali Butterfly Park in Tabanan is the biggest butterfly garden in Southeast Asia for the preservation of insects and butterflies. It’s a conservation garden with several hundreds of butterflies that live and breed in the park. Besides conservation, Bali Butterfly Park Tabanan is also an educational place, as well as a tourism spot often visited by many tourists, researchers, and students.

They are preserved in the park, where the adult butterflies will be released into the wild in its natural habitat. Tabanan Bali Butterfly Park officially opened as one of the attractions of nature and education on December 17th 1996 by PT Taman Kupu-Kupu Lestari. It’s established after the approval of the central and local governments, as well as from the local community. This park has an area of 1 ha, with 3,700 m2 for the butterflies and insects’ habitat, while the remaining is for the flower, plants, and herbs. Yup, the plants are used for the butterflies’ food. Very interesting, right?

As mention before, you can also find a wide variety of insects including Cobalt Blue Tarantula and Scorpion. Dare to meet them? Go to Jalan Batukaru, Br. Sandan Lebah, Sesandan village, Wanasari, Tabanan Regency, Bali. If you come from Denpasar, the distance is around 28.4 km, so you have drive for approximately 1 hour. And don’t worry, you can visit the park everyday from 08.00 am to 05.00 pm!
