Calm And Clear Your Mind At Alas Kedaton Temple.

Tabanan, what’s first that comes to your mind when you hear this city? Perhaps, it will be Ulun Danu Temple or may not even imagine a tourist place at all? No problem, because you might not know Tabanan as popular as Denpasar or Badung. But if you are a nature enthusiast, Tabanan must be included in your priority list to be visit.

Alas Kedaton Temple

This place is a protected forest with a width of about six to seven hectares. Located in the middle of Tabanan Regency, western part of this paradise island. Interestingly, in the middle of the forest stood a graceful temple called Alas Kedaton Temple. It is very beautiful and peaceful. A perfect tourist place to calm your mind.

Alas Kedaton Temple to be precised is located in Kukuh village, Marga Sub-district, Tabanan Regency. The trip to the temple can be done by using any vehicle. Just follow the main road from Denpasar to Tabanan. You will find the location easily, especially with an online map. During the trip to Alas Kedaton, your soul will be treated by a beautiful natural panorama. A peaceful and calm atmosphere will immediately refresh you. Especially, when you saw a green expansed of rice fields, accompanied by the sound of water flow in irrigation on the side of the road that increasingly help you to embrace the nature of Bali.

Alas Kedaton Temple is often referred to as Dalem Kahyangan Temple because it is often used as a place of religious ceremonies. The Piodalan (every six month) ceremony is oftenly held in this temple. Do visit this temple 20 days after Galungan day and you will see Hindus do worship here. Commonly all religious ceremonies use incense, however this is not happening at Alas Kedaton Temple. All religious ceremonies may not use incense and fire in this area. Therefore, all ceremonies should be carried out before sunset. So that no one will use any fire as a lighting tool in this temple.

In addition, two holy statues can be found in this area. Those are the statue of Durga Mahisasura with eight hands that hold something standing in the oxen and the Statue of Ganesha, who is sitting on lotus with the two dragons.

Something you won’t miss when visit Alas Kedaton is that you will find monkeys in the Alas Kedaton Sacred Forest. Around 2000 tame monkeys is inhabited here. No need to worry about their behavior because they are get used to humans. However, you also still have to maintain the security, ok? Be sure to not make the monkeys feel threatened so you can endanger yourself.
