Marigold flower garden well known as Gemitir Garden by the locals is located in Belok Village, Petang Sub-district, Badung Regency. This beautiful garden belongs to the surrounding farmers. Actually, they had no intention to build this garden as a tourist spot. But, time pass by and many tourists who pass through this field often stop by and take pictures here. The stunning golden yellow flowers and green leaves make this place so instagramable. So, prepare your best pose with your partner or friends before visiting this garden.

Gemitir flowers are harvested the first time after 45 days of planting. After that, a few days later the flowers will bloom again and again. This flower is also considered at a high level of demand because Balinese people usually put it in their offerings. In fact, the locals believe Gemitir flowers have a special symbol that symbolizes west direction and as a request to strengthen intuition.  

In this garden, the seeds planted are directly coming from Mexico. Farmers do not plant local seeds because the results obtained are not fit the demand. It is quite easy to get the seeds because indeed, the market needs are very high. Every day, around 8 tons of Gemitir flowers are needed in Bali. Thus, this flower plantation is also considered as a major potential to improve the economy of the community.
