Showing Love For The Environment At Badung Maritime Festival.

The event which took place on the edge of Tanjung Benoa Beach, Badung, was enlivened by the traditional dances and culinary snakcs. Yes, it’s the Maritime Festival annual event. Not only participated by the local residents, dozens of foreign tourists also took part to witness the festivals.

The Badung Regency Maritime Culture Festival, which carries the theme "Sea-Offering", is a commitment by the local government to empower the coastal communities. This commitment is packaged in the form of performance arts and culture. Through this event, it is expected that all people can preserve the sea. In addition, this event also aims to protect the fishing communities and coastal farmers who have a direct contact with the sea.

In order for the maritime festival to run perfectly, an evaluation will be held every year. So, later this event can become an international festival, which is attended by people from all over the world. In this event, various innovations in protecting the sea and empowering fishermen were also proclaimed. For example, the existence of hygienic fish markets, modernization of fishing, and also the introduction of environmentally friendly marine technologies. Not only that, with this festival, it is expected that the tourists in Badung can increase. Thus, innovation and promotion of maritime festivals must be improved, for the benefit of the local community.

Maritime tourism is relatively often forgotten, because usually people are more focused on land-based tourism. Therefore, the maritime festival is considered to have a very strategic role and is very potential for the development of marine tourism. This festival is also considered to be able to encourage people to care more about the environment.

Marine tourism itself is actually divided into three parts, including coastal or beach, water activities such as fishing and cruise, and underwater with diving activities. With the existence of the maritime festival, many parties hope that Asian tourists, who are indeed quite fond of water activities, will come to this Island of the Gods.
