Surfing The Nyanyi Beach Waves

Why do you have to visit Nyanyi Beach? Because you can freely play with the waves. The sand of the beach is sloping and wide and surrounded by sturdy limestone cliffs. There, you can enjoy the waves with a breeze blowing on your face. At the end of the horizon, you can stare at the blue ocean while enjoying the waves.

Nyanyi Beach is located in Banjar Nyanyi, Beraban Village, Kediri District, Tabanan Regency, West Bali. The distance is about 19 km from Denpasar. Along the way, you will be accompanied by the beautiful view of the green rice fields. Many surfers come to try the waves of Nyanyi Beach. Its location is directly adjacent to the Indian Ocean so that the big waves are suitable for surfing. But all water activities will be stopped if the sea is high.

The location of Nyanyi Beach is strategic because it is close to other beaches which are also commonly used for surfing, such as Bali's Nirwana Beach and Kedungu Beach. Nyanyi Beach is one of the best surfing spots and is an attractive choice for beginner surfers. Only a few tourists visit Nyanyi Beach. The beach is only filled by some surfer communities and also local fishermen. There are two surfing spots in Nyanyi Beach: a fat wave and powerful wave. While the best months for surfing are from March to October.

To go to Nyanyi Beach, you will pass a community garden that you can see on the left and right side of the road. If you have arrived near the beach, you will find a road that is slightly damaged. Usually, you can see farm animals owned by local people who roam freely on the left and right side of the road. In addition, many starlings are around cattle. So, you can see the beautiful scenery before riding the waves of Nyanyi Beach.

You need to bring a surfboard because at Nyanyi Beach there is no surfboard rental place. This beach is still very quiet and almost no visitors. There is no car park, so you have to park your car around the beachfront shop for free. After that, go down a few steps, then you can immediately set your foot on the black sand of Nyanyi Beach.

But keep in mind, there are no facilities to wash and change clothes or a place to store your items. But if you are thirsty and want to buy some snacks, there is a shop right near the stairs. You can stop by there while looking at Nyanyi Beach from a high place. The scenery is quite different because the green grass on the cliff will take you along the coastline, which borders several other beaches.
