4 Days Discovering Hidden Paradise at Buleleng Regency

Day 1

1. Lovina Beach

Seeing dolphins on Lovina Beach would be a perfect way to start your vacation in this northest regency in Bali island. You only have to cross the bay by a fishing boat to the middle of the sea to be able to take photos and see the dolphins directly. Make sure you full your stomach, in order to avoid seasick. Continue with snorkeling while enjoying beautiful coral reefs down underneath. Playing on the beach until noon is highly recommended. 2. Pura Beji

Thirty minutes driving is all it takes from Lovina Beach to Beji temple. You will find the beauty of carving walls with flower designs. Typical style of Buleleng sculpture. Absolutely a unique spot to be used as photo background. These sculptures are painted in colors so giving the spirit to the temple walls. Getting around 30 minutes is probably enough to add to your vacation photo collection. 

3. Gitgit Waterfall

Gitgit waterfall with a height of about 35 m can be reached by trekking around 15 minutes. Finding serenity to close your first day here. You have to pass the paving stairs first. After arriving at the waterfall, enjoy the swift flow of the fresh water while taking a fun holiday moment in this beautiful nature of Buleleng. It would be better while enjoying snacks and warm drinks. Make yourself more relaxed by dipping your feet in a pool near the waterfall. Day 2

1. Munduk Rice Terrace

Feel the morning breeze while walking through the rice fields at Munduk Rice Terrace. In fact, around the paddy field area, a traveling bicycle tour is provided. Tired of cycling, you can take a break while enjoying the green scenery of Munduk rice fields. Guaranteed your mind will be fresher and calmer. Spending a couple of hours here would not be enough especially if you come in the exact time when the sun just shows up in the horizon. You can stop by to have breakfast at a roadside warung while continuing your journey to Lake Tamblingan.

2. Lake Tamblingan 


It's time to walk leisurely around Lake Tamblingan. Traditional jukung or boats lean on the edge of the lake will be your first sight when you get there. A mainstream photo spot. Your photos will steal lots of like on any social media. The air around Lake Tamblingan is quite cold because it is located uphill. Therefore, it is suggested to wear warm clothes when you visit this lake. 7 minutes driving, you will be arrived at Lake Buyan which is as stunning as Lake Tamblingan. Spend 30 minutes on these two lakes and let’s move on to our next place, Brahma Vihara Arama.

3. Brahma Vihara Arama

Brahma Vihara Arama is the largest vihara in Bali. The famous miniature of Borobudur temple completed with a lotus pond which is usually used as a favorite photo background for tourists. Keep being respectful while visiting because many visitors come here to meditate. You can also join meditation session with other visitors. The peaceful atmosphere will gently soothe away your anxieties.

Day 3

1. Sekumpul Waterfall

Leave your hotel in the early morning to embrace the maximum atmosphere at the spectacular Sekumpul Waterfall. To reach the waterfall, you have to go through a road filled with shrubs. Plus, you have to cross through the river with a water depth of about one meter. However, your fatigue will be paid off when swimming in a refreshing pool of waterfalls. Bring enough supplies of toiletries. Save your energy because there is still Lemukih Waterfall that you can explore next.

2. Lemukih Waterfall


From Sekumpul Waterfall, you just have to walk around 7 minutes, then you will find the beautiful view of Lemukih Waterfall. Before playing water again, you may eat lunch first. Accompanied by the splash of falling water, it will definitely increase to your appetite. However, it is better getting back before dark in order to not having trouble finding lighting towards the parking lot.

3. Seririt Night Market

Charging your body by coming to Seririt Night Market to find traditional dish for your dinner. This morning market has turned into a night market and sells various kinds of traditional Balinese and any other Indonesian cuisines at affordable prices. Hanging out while enjoying the night here with a travel companion can be a satisfying day's closing, right.

Day 4

1. Gedong Kirtya Museum

What would be a trip without visiting historical places in this regency? In this museum, you can see the ancestral manuscripts which was written by using ancient Javanese. Balinese and Sanskrit in the form of Palm Library with collections originally from inside and outside the island of Bali. It takes only 30 minutes to an hour to stroll around the museum. You can get a lot of new knowledge here. Approximately 6 minutes from here, stop for a moment at Lin Gwang Kiong Temple to capture a great photo!

2. Ling Gwan Kiong Temple

Your last day in Buleleng can be enjoyed by walking leisurely. Go around Ling Gwan Kiong Temple. This temple has a thick Chinese architecture in it. Taking a photo in front of a golden lion statue in a red temple building background, and nobody will think you are in Bali. Take your time to get around here before lunch time. 3. Traditional Food, Siobak


Craving for delicious traditional food? Walk 5 minutes to the west from Lin Gwan Kiong Temple. There is the most famous Siobak stall in Buleleng. The soft texture of boiled pork innards is served with salty-sweet sauce. Produces a delicious taste that can incrase your appetite. Typical food that only exists in Buleleng cannot to be missed when you are here.
