Day 1

1. Bali Denpasar Museum

Bali Denpasar Museum will present you the information and knowledge about the first human civilization on the island of Bali since the Megalithic era until now. In this museum, several ancient relics are displayed such as statues, fabrics, the discovery of ancient objects and artifacts that describe the life and development of Balinese culture. This museum is best for educating the visitor about Balinese culture since it was first discovered. The facilities available at the museum include souvenir shops, parking lots, toilets, and food and beverage kiosks. On Sundays-Thursdays, the museum is open from 08:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. While on Friday, it is open from 08:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. The museum is closed every Saturday and on national holidays.


2. Bajra Sandhi Monument

The construction of Bajra Sandhi Monument adopts a bell shape. This monument is commonly used by the leaders of religious ceremonies to lead prayers and ceremonies. Here, tourists can see the diorama which insighting us about the struggle of the Balinese people to gain independence against the invaders. The monument consists of three parts namely the Main Mandala, Madya Mandala and Nista Mandala. This monument is open every day from 08:00 a.m. until 16:00 p.m


3. Traditional Food, Jinggo Rice


Try to taste a true traditional Balinese dish, namely Jinggo Rice when you visiting this city. Although Balinese traditional foods are supposed to be found throughout the island of Bali, the existence of the most numerous Jinggo Rice is found in Denpasar. Jinggo Rice is a small portion of rice wrapped in banana leaves, it is very tasteful completed with additional side dishes such as fried noodles, shredded chicken, fried tempe and sambal. Jinggo rice is often found in street stalls in Denpasar.


4. Jagatnatha Holy Temple

This temple is considered as the largest temple in Denpasar. It is made of white coral and carved depicting various traditional stories, for instance, Sang Hyang Widhi (Hindu’s God) and several Deities in Hinduism. Tourists will be amazed by the beauty of the coral carvings inside this temple. Jagatnatha is a sacred temple, therefore tourists must wear polite clothes when visiting here. The temple is located on Jalan Surapati, Denpasar. 

Day 2

1. Kumbasari Traditional Market

Visiting the traditional market is a must when you’re in vacation. This Kumbasari Traditional Market sells a variety of traditional items at cheap price. If you’re looking for Balinese souvenirs such as clothes, accessories, paintings, sculptures and ornaments, Kumbasari Market can be one of the right choices to visit. This market is located on Gajah Mada Street, Pemecutan, Denpasar City, approximately 15 km away from Ngurah Rai Airport.


2. Mangrove Forest

Mangrove Forest in Denpasar spread across the area of 1,300 hectares. This forest is usually used as a place for pre-wedding photo shoot because of the beautiful natural greeny scenery in the middle of the forest. In addition, this forest is also suitable for tourists who want to do a small exploration in the city forest and want to know more about mangrove trees. There is a small wooden bridge to make it easier for the forest explorers to walk around this forest. This Mangrove Forest is located in Bypass Ngurah Rai Street, Denpasar.


3. Traditional Food, Satay Plecing


Satay Plecing is a traditional food from Denpasar. This satay is famous for its spicy and salty flavor. The flavour is developed from sambal made from the mixture of chili, tomato, salt, sugar, lime, onion, garlic and shrimp paste. Usually , this kind of sambal is served with boiled kale, but in this dish, it becomes the basic ingredients. Travelers must taste this satay because it tastes unique and it is only found in Bali.


4. Sakenan Temple


Sakenan Temple is an ancient temple built with unique carving stone architecture. This temple is usually used as a place for conducting any traditional ceremonies and praying on religious holidays such as Galungan, Pujawali and Piodalan. The facilities available at this temple are parking lots, local stalls and toilets.

Day 3

1. Turtle Conservation Centre

The Turtles Conservation Center located on Serangan Island, is a small conservation center and is a great place to familiarize about turtles. Turtles in this conservation area are lived in clean pools. Tourists can see the life cycle of turtles from eggs becoming adult turtles. Here, tourists can also participate directly into turtle release activities into their habitat. This Conservation Center is open every day from 9:00 a.m. to 05:00 p.m.


2. Museum of Fingerprint Painting

The Museum of Fingerprint Painting was built in 1993 and was inaugurated in 1995. Gede Ngurah Rai Pemecutan was the founder of this museum. In this museum, there are 640 paintings exhibited and painted by Gede Ngurah Rai Pemecutan himself, using his hands without painting brushes. The museum is open every day, from 08:00 a.m. to 16:00 p.m.


3. Sindhu Night Market


Sindhu Night Market is located close to Sindhu Beach. At night, there are many street vendors selling various kinds of food at affordable price. If eating at the restaurant is too formal, the Sindhu Night Market can be an option to eat while relaxing to enjoy the fresh Balinese air at night. The Sindhu Night Market is open from 07:00 p.m. and closes at 11:00 p.m.
